Gum disease treatment

Deep cleaning or root planning:

It is a surgery for a reduction of periodontal pocket. Gum disease is a bacterial infection that creates a periodontal pocket which can not clean by brushing and flossing. Gum disease causes tooth loss after the age of 30.

It involves smoothing the root surfaces of the teeth with thin curettes so gum tissue can more firmly reattach to roots that are clean and smooth to prevent tooth loss and sensitivity problems.
